San Diego Process Servers

We make an effort to serve process as quickly and effectively as we can. Depending on the option you choose, we will make the first attempt to serve the papers within 24 hours or within 3-5 days.

In the United States, process servers may typically provide processes from 6 am to 10.30 pm.

The documents cannot be delivered to a juvenile under the age of 18, left in a letterbox, and a process server cannot force open your door. However, they can wait outside your house or place of business, until you decide to go outside, to deliver the papers.

Some people try to avoid process servers. It is acceptable for process servers to make an attempt to deliver the documents to the defendant outside of their residence, place of employment, or home of a family member. Although a process server might need to employ unconventional techniques to serve the documents, in most circumstances the person will eventually get served.

Up to six delivery attempts will be made for each defendant. Occasionally, based on the servers at a single legitimate address, we make additional attempts.

A San Diego County process server will provide evidence of their attempts to serve you before the court in the form of paperwork. Without the defendant present, the judge can move the case along and carry on with the proceedings. It is usually advised that the defendant accept process service so they have a fair opportunity to defend themselves.
